LOCATION: Located 5 miles northeast of Jacksboro (just past the Lake) and within a one hour of Fort Worth.

ACCESS: Property is accessed through a deeded easement (off Lost Creek Rd), so the ranch is very secluded and peaceful.

DIRECTIONS: From Jacksboro: Take Hwy 59 northeast for approximately 2.5 miles (past Jacksboro Lake), turn right on Lost Creek Rd, drive .8 miles to the McClure gate and this starts the easement road. Continue 1.4 miles on (main) easement road, crossing over two cattle guards and after you pass the barn, cattle pens and large pond, take the fork to the right, and the road will dead end into the front gate of the property.

TERRAIN: Rolling and elevated (200ft+) terrain with views of Jacksboro Lake from the hilltop in the back of the property. There’s also two creeks that meander throughout the property and two fields consisting of approximately 30 acres that would make excellent food plots or grazing areas.

VEGETATION: The ranch is approximately 70% wooded with tree cover consisting of primarily mesquite, but also has a good amount of post oaks, live oaks, elms and a variety of shrubs beneficial for all the wildlife.

WATER & ELECTRIC: Surface water consists of 3 ponds, two seasonal creeks and electric runs through the ranch in several areas..

WILDLIFE: Whitetail deer, turkey, dove and ducks. This property has not been heavily hunted and is very secluded.

PASTURES: There are two cleared pastures consisting of about 30 acres and are mainly native with one being open (scrubbed) while the other has some over growth mesquite coming back. Property is agriculturally exempt and owner currently runs cattle.

FENCING: The fences are in fair to good condition and in the middle of the property is a nice set of working pens.

TAXES: The Ag Exempt taxes for 2017 were $143.88.

COMMENTS: The “Lost Creek Hilltop Ranch” has lots to offer with elevated views, abundance of wooded terrain, ponds, Lost Creek, wildlife, Atv trails and only minutes from town. Great weekend getaway place within 1 hour of the Metroplex! No shortage of wildlife…..should be an excellent hunting / recreational property!
